Upper Nicola’s Indian Registry department records births, deaths, marriages and divorces for members living in the community and away from home. The registry department issues status cards for band members, and individuals registered with another band.

People wishing to register for status or make changes to their registry details must call the Health Centre to make an appointment. Individuals are only authorized to make changes to their records or request status cards for themselves or their children.

To process any changes or register as a member, two pieces of valid (not expired) identification are required. One must include a photo. Identification and certificates must be original copies – no photocopies are accepted.

Acceptable forms of identification include passports, driver’s licenses, status cards, firearms licenses, birth certificates, and CareCards. Social Insurance Number (SIN) cards are not accepted.
