Please be advised there has been a washout on Douglas Lake Road.
Traffic cannot get thru to Westwold. This is in the area affected by the White Rock Lake Fire in 2021. The impact is to Douglas Lake Road and an adjacent fee simple property. MOTT has sent a geotechnical team to complete preliminary assessments, and the outcome of the preliminary assessment will provide clarity on next steps with regards to clean up and reopening the road to traffic.
As MOTT completes their assessment work and aims to get the road re-opened, we will update information as we receive it.
