Upper Nicola Band is currently accepting proposals for the purpose of selecting an experienced contractor to collect and dispose of solid waste/recycling from all residences on IRs 1,2 and 3.
The proposed Scope of Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
• Provision of necessary equipment and labour.
• Door-to-door pick up of household garbage from designated containers and locations.
• Door-to-door pick up of household recycling from designated containers and locations.
• Door-to-door delivery of UNB newsletters and flyers.
Solid waste/recycling pick-up must occur weekly on the day(s) designated by UNB.
Successful Proposals will include the following:
1. Company profile including equipment and staff inventories necessary to indicate an ability to complete the scope of work as specified.
2. Proof of insurance, including $1 million general liability insurance, vehicle policy and WCB clearance letter.
3. A demonstrated ability to complete the scope of work requested in its entirety, within the timelines specified.
4. Not less than two references which will verify the capacity, ability, quality of work and experience in work of similar nature to that specified in the scope of work.
5. A definitive cost estimate, presented in whichever fashion the proponent considers adequate reflective of their business and billing practices, and which provides acknowledgement and recognition of the noted scope of work.
6. A total cost per week.
